While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75-year old Texas rancher whose hand was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Sarah Palin and her bid to be a heartbeat away from being President .

The old rancher said, 'Well, ya know, Palin is a post turtle.'

Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a post turtle was.

The old rancher said, 'When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a post turtle.'

The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he continued to explain. 'You know she didn't get up there by herself, she doesn't belong up there, she doesn't know what to do while she is up there, and you just wonder what kind of dumb ass put her up there to begin with.

I love the way Ms Palin, has got all the Democrats nerviness. icon_lol.gif

Now that presence, and power too.icon_biggrin.gif

    Go Girl.icon_biggrin.gif

remember. If you truly loved the USA. You would not vote for the democrats. You would put your pride aside, and vote for the better of the USA, and not vote for the Democrats.

I would love to see a black fella, or women in the white house. But Obama is not the right person for the job. icon_eek.gif

Nevertheless, even as a world citizen, your preference is overruled ..

In the international polls Obama got a 49% rating and McCain just got 12%

i agree... she totally came out of no where, maybe doesn't belong on the ticket..... however, that's what I like about her. I am sick of all the headlining politicians that have scandals, strong opinions, and baggage.

i am curious to see her get in and brings some new life to DC that is very down to earth.

I don't like obama at all, I really don't like McCain... hated hillary.... I think I like Palin just cause there is nothing to dislike yet. but am hoping to get a better idea of what she is like over the next couple of months.

You are the one who refers to himself as "one", or "oneself" or some other lunatic name in all your posts, right? And you "live" in Australia, right? Shut the fuck up, lunatic.

HUH??? Scandal: Troopergate, for starters. Strong opinions: Her positions on abortion, gay marriage, etc., are not strong? Why might the McCain people be holding her back from interviews? Why have they taken over the role of communications in the gubernatorial office? Baggage: As long as you believe her lies, I guess you could say she has no baggage.

Is it possible for a Gay man to be a Fiscal Conservative and not vote for Obama? Yes....I am a Gay man who likes the money he makes, and likes to keep it in his own pocket without having to give it away to the government for some rediculous project that some Senator wants in some obscure place that I can careless about....Last year Obama got 1 billion dollars of earmarks...Thats MY money...YOUR money for things in ONLY Chicago...McCain got 0...so who am I voting for? McCain...I am not some obtuse one issue Gay voter...Even Obama doesnt support gay marriage...so give me a break...I also don't happen to believe in abortion on demand in this country and that my taxes are paying for this...Look up what an abortion looks like and realize this could have been you!..I am SO over Gays Politically Bashing Other gays who happen to lean slightly right of center, and insult for the sake of insulting...If you don't agree, well just don't agree; but this crap that is going on in this nation of Politics of venom, is just a VERY bad thing for the country...
