I thought it was okay. Some of the acting could've been much better. There was a part where the hottie Mormon guy was crying but he sounded like he was laughing! Of course, I laughed too since the acting didn't seem believable. If you get a chance, watch the Broken Hearts Club. The director is the same guy who produced the Green Lantern with Ryan Reynolds and I thought it was excellent movie!

I agree that some of the acting was bad, especially the part you pointed out icon_smile.gif I really liked the whole idea and message of the film though. And I will definitely have to check out the Broken Hearts Club!

I loved that movie, too. Touching, eye candy, happy ending, alhough the mormon guy would likely have enormous guilt for the rest of his life. Still, it was great. I think we saw it on Logo.

I really wanted to like this film, but it was executed so horribly. Terrible film.

Pretty hokey movie unfortunately, as if it were made for TV. I wish I could have liked it more. But has some mild entertainment value.

It's one of those movies that a good "time passer." I watched it a while back...when I had nothing else to watch.... it was an adequate film.... the premise of the movie was good. icon_neutral.gif

Boy, that movie is discussed on RJ with alarming regularity:

But it's worth retreading 'cause now there's a new TV show that seems to be channeling it. Whenever I see a promo for "Vanderpump Rules" starring Lisa Vanderpump, a "Real Housewife of Beverly Hills" and LA restauranteur I can't help[ but think of Jacqueline Bisset in that film (though Vanderpump is way bitchier).

    Vanderpump as LA restauranteur:

As a "mormon raised" individual I found the movie to have lots of stereotypical scenes that are not necessarily true. However shows how hard it can be for the gay youth of this religion to just be who they are.

I really liked the movie though, thumbs up.
