    This is interesting:

Glad Boehner can be himself around his people. Hahaha.

Really? We don't know what they were talking about and the two guys didn't seem offended at all...they made no sign they were upset over that.

Also I know plenty of straight guys that do that with their wrist...

I'm sorry, but who said they should have been offended or upset?

Also, I don't know any straight guys who do that with their wrist. Of course, the straight dudes I know aren't virulent homophobes pretending to be str8 while working to deny gay couples rights and freedoms.

Meh. Making a big deal over nothing... in my opinion.

I'm pretty sure he was saying... "Girl... I love those shoes..."

    But really who cares?

The very least John Boehner could have done in both pictures is to "look" welcoming and have a smile on his face. It appears as if his lunch didn't agree with him!

The sad part is Boehner did not have Democratic opposition in the General Election. He got a free ride and ran unapposed. That's gonna change, I'm sure.

While it is fantastic to reduce the Republican majority in the House from November's results, and to welcome all new Democrats (I have a kinda-new Democratic Congressman now--Alan Grayson is my representative again in the new Ninth District in Florida), I'm looking forward to 2014 when we get our majority back--and hopefully more LGBT representatives.

Hahaha. With his uber orange spray tan, penchant for crying like a baby, and that hand gesture...

What is the point of this? I see the Speaker of the House swearing in new congressmen and their spouses. All seem quite happy.

We weren't there and hard to judge what really happened. I'm just glad it happened in general. Think about how many years ago this scene would have been impossible......

a few of you have said who cares
well that little boy sitting in his junior high class who felt like he was alone in the world......he cares
that teenage girl that hates herself and sees Tammy Baldwin stand in the Senate ......she cares
the couple in Washington state who got to marry last month after fifty years .....I am sure they really care One of them can now visit the other in the Hospital.
Those people may have not have been you, but they are your brothers and sisters.......lest you ever forget the meaning of family.

Ok, I think I see what some were talking about. Was it the limp wristed gay flip of the hand in the video? Yeah, I've seen him do that before and noticed. I don't think there was any malice intended here.

Boehner is such a dingle, but all in all this was pretty cool.

We need more gay or gay friendly people in the senate and house. We need more people fighting for our rights

Even as conservative as I am, I've never been much of a fan of his. I'd prefer Eric Cantor or Paul Ryan as Speaker.
