Yeah, I've done them, butT I prefer fartees. icon_wink.gif I don't think these do anything all that special.

I'm getting back into boxing again for a bunch of my cardio and the 'burpees" don't do it in comparison.

A great exercise, I would do it on a timer because you can easily talk yourself into quitting

i do them. like the guy in the video says, they're a good way to get your heart rate up with no equipment and they use your whole body. combine them with other things for a great workout.

This burpee madness workout by fitness blender.com is an intense 6 min, but a good burn.

They are a big part of CrossFit, and can kick your ass in a good way when combined with lifting, etc

Burpees and I have a love/hate relationship.... I definitely recommend them though. They do help get the heart rate up and keep a fair bit of your body engaged throughout the movement.

They are a favorite in boot camps after a 50 yd sprint. Repeated a few times.

Are you kidding? I thought these were a standard, like pushups. They always had us do them in skool, starting at about 3rd grade. I always do them to warm up for a workout. In fact, sometimes, I stick a pushup in the middle. Oh, yeah. they're doing "deluxe" burpees in the video.

I love them after, not before or during. They're a whole body exercise with a great aerobic component. The little jump at the end really requires the most effort.

I think my I heard my knee scream... I'll stick to running for now and maybe after a month of getting back in to a workout routine, I'll be down for it.

My former gymnastics coach definitely favored this exercise for conditioning. Needless to say it was among my least favorite even though it was one of the most effective, haha.

Thanks! I learned them over here in Germany and never knew what they were called in English. Now I do.

    Still hate 'em though.

Burpees . . . the exercise you love to hate!

The push-up part of the exercise is becoming more standard, but as the one video shows, may be eliminated, proably when you begin doing them to make sure you don't hate them completely, LOL !!

A Group fitness instructor I had once had a card game which meant everyone drew a card from a deck

    A - 21
    2 = 2, 3=3, J=11, Q=12, K=13

The suit determined the exercise, we alternated between a Cardio and a Core exercise.

One day she decided that the Burpees were included in the routine.. Spades..

I drew an ace of Spades and tried to hide it from her - she eventually saw the card and said that we still had to do them.

I hate burpees, HATE them and said that if we could leave that to last I'd do them, she would too and I would match her burpee for burpee and if I didn't do more than she could, I would do *everyones* burpees (8x21)...

    I knew she'd change her mind icon_smile.gif

We all ended up doing boxing or something for the last 5 minutes of the class...

Sometimes the instructors' mouths write checks their body cant cash.
