Where do y'all get protein bars cheap? Like less than $1 per? I'm not talking crappy ones either; I'm talking like Quest etc. Thanks

supplementwarehouse.com sometimes has prices that low when the product is close to expiration. I've been able to get met-rx bars far cheaper than their regular price is way. Though since it's not a regular price you have to check the site often.

Target sells the brand Pure Protein bars in bulk for about $6.29 for a box of 6, which averages out to $1.05 per bar. Pure protein bars are very healthy with 20g of protein 2g of sugar and low carbs and they taste really well. You can also find these bars for the same price at Walmart. Hope this helps.

Yep, google search it and you'll find lots of recipes. Its pretty easy and way healthier than the sugar filled crap you pay a ton for in stores.

I gave up on protein bars. The ones at costco were the most affordable, but almost impossible to choke down after a while.

I went on a big kick of making my own. Downloaded a bunch of recipes, bought a ton of ingredients, and found a few combinations that were half-way edible.

But I added up the cost of all that stuff, and it was about the same as buying the expensive bars at the store. icon_mad.gif

Yeah they're convenient enough to keep in your glove compartment or pocket to keep you out of the drive-thrus but are protein bars actually healthy? Yes they're probably balanced with a proper proportion of fats and carbs, but are they healthy fats and carbs? I always avoided them because they seemed too processed and "candy-like."

    Easy. I make my own.

Although, the Clif Builders bars sold at Costco are just over a dollar a piece, and they're high quality. The problem with cheap is that you get what you pay for...

It's much better to make your own mate www.uk-muscle.co.uk has a few good recipes/links to recipes there.

I wouldn't get protein bars readymade, most of them are full of crap!

I thought protein bars were always overpriced crap, unless you make your own.

Ive never made these since they look nasty but...

Each Poo-Bar costs about 60 cents and contains:
    230 Calories26g Protein (44%)
    24g Carbs (38%)
    4.5g Fiber
    5.0g Fat (17%)
    1.6g Omega III fatty acids
