Alright guys, I need some advice.

I'm heading to NYC for a week at the end of the month so looking for some ideas of places to go when I've done the touristy stuff during the daytime. I'm gonna be based in white plains with a buddy but seeing as he'll be working most of time I'll be flying solo in the city.

Despite naive dreams of stumbling across a short bus-esque club, where's good to go to eat, drink then party?

Also tour guide volunteers are welcome!

If you are staying in manhattan check out east village. its where younger people hang out and there are tons of places to eat and drink. Stay away from mid town - a lot of tourists so it gets crowded and everything is more expensive. Chelsea has gallery openings on thursdays and they give out free drinks while you can enjoy the art. Williamsburg and Greenpoint in Brooklyn also has a lot of bars and restaurants.

If you like authentic napoli-style pizza, check out Kesté on Bleeker Street (same street as Magnolia bakery which has awesome cupcakes - also a great place to visit):
