Read where McCain's Chief of staff is gay. How can a self respecting gay man work for someone who doesnt even support your rights to marriage, adoption, gays in the military, or even know how to spell LGBT?

Here is the story from towler.com

Bloggers Mike Rogers and Michelangelo Signorile have been working simultaneously on the same story, which they broke today on their respective blogs as well as Signorile's Sirius radio show. Both Signorile and Rogers, you may know, have become known for outing high-ranking political figures, and today they're reporting that former lobbyist and John McCain's chief-of-staff Mark Buse is gay.

Rogers and Signorile decided to go public because of John McCain's anti-gay platform as well as Sarah Palin's Evangelical Christian background.

As you may know, John McCain doesn't even know what the acronym LGBT stands for. He also doesn't really believe in gay adoption, supports a ban on gays in the military, is worried if his clothing looks too gay, isn't sure if condoms stop the spread of HIV, thinks same-sex marriage ceremonies are okay as long as they're just pretend, and has promised right-wing religious groups that he'll start speaking out more vocally against LGBT causes.

Writes Signorile: "Over the past month I’ve been contacted by three different individuals (two of them members of the Log Cabin Republicans) claiming that McCain’s Senate chief of state, Mark Buse, is gay. None of these individuals would be quoted by name, though each described Buse as being rather 'open' to those around him and to his family – in a 'glass closet' rather than deeply undercover or trying to appear heterosexual. Then I was contacted in recent weeks by 46-year-old Brian Davis, an Arizona resident, who told me about his intimate relationship with Mark Buse (confirmed by his mother, as well as by a long-time friend), and who decided he needed to tell the truth about Buse, on the record, in light of John McCain’s dramatic shift to the ideological religious right in this election and his choice of Sarah Palin, starlet of the evangelical movement, as a running mate."

Rogers went to McCain's office on Friday to present him with his "Roy Cohn Award" but Buse apparently hid in his office and wouldn't come out. Rogers has a video up on his site.

Signorile posted a very brief video clip given to him by Buse's ex-boyfriend when they were dating. You can watch it AFTER THE JUMP and read the details on Signorile's site.

Very good, I think any closet gays, who support the Republican party should be outed, these are the most dangerous ones.

Anticipatory post from Republicans: "See, this proves that John McCain isn't homophobic. It shows you how you can be a friend to gay people but still regard other matters as higher priority. Leave it to the radical lefties to invade the man's personal life. His being gay has nothing to do with the job he is doing for McCain."

Probably the next thing to happen is he will be hidden in the background, not officially working for McStain but still helping him out, sorta like what they did with the good ole boy, Phil Gramm.icon_rolleyes.gif

McCain's gonna have to answer to his bosses at Fuckus on the Family. He'll have a new chief of staff in a week.

It has everything to do with the job. Their policies are supporting discrimination against gays. If McSame is such a supporter than he should be correcting the platform, and should not have selected a VP candidate who supports intolerance. You can't have it both ways, in private support Gays and in front of religious bigots defame them!

The sad thing about all of this is that this very well may be true. McCain probably even knows about it and has absolutely no problem with it. Who's making a big deal about it??? -- THE GAYS! Honestly, some of my fellow gays are truly pathetic. So now, this probably very talented and able gay man who has a very good job and who could possibly even be in a position at some point to have influence on softening the perceived Republican stance on gays now has to deal with this sort of unfair magnification of his person life. It shouldn't matter whether he is gay or straight. Sorry, but sometimes gays can be the biggest hypocrites of all.

I don't care if he's gay or straight and I'm not making a big deal about it. I was curious, thats all. I would think a CuriousJock would understand that....

I wasn't suggesting that you were. Who I was talking about are the gay writers who uncovered this and, rather than not make a big deal about it because "his sexuality shouldn't matter", instead they chose to make it into a big huge deal and broadcast it to anyone who would listen. This, in my opinion, is evil bitchy gays turning against other gays --- and the height of hypocrisy.

So apparently you have issues with pregnant white teen girls, boys who score low on their SATs, and junkies....
That limits many gay bars you could frequent! icon_eek.gif

Ya know, being a Democrat is not a requirment for being gay. We all have our own priorities.

Take for instance Iran, I want to see the Mullah/Ahmadinijad regime and their Hezbollah minions wiped off the earth. You Democrats oppose this, so, you support the very people who murder the Iranian LGBT community.
Are you happy with your position?

Buffhunk64 saidAnyone can write anything on the Internet and call it true. Do you have supporting evidence of all of your claims or are you just another Obamacrat who can only name call and spread rumors?

It's not like Republicans have been running a clean race. McCain's ads constatly feature lies that have been proven false, but that's beside the point.

I haven't been able to find an official source. There's this video of (allegedly) Mark Buse and his ex-boyfriend.

But it's blurry and you can barely see anyone's face.

Blah Blah Blah...that is all I read every time you post.

You get to enjoy your gay life due to the hard work of gays who fought for those rights who happened to be liberals.

    [John43620's logic]
The goal of the terrorists was to disrupt Americans and most importantly our economy. The Iraq war has generated trillions of dollars in debt for the US, and the anti-terrorism measures the government has enacted have stripped us of a lot of freedom and privacy.

This administration helped these terrorist achieve what they wanted. You support Bushe's administration. Ergo, John, you're a terrorist.

John, if one of the drag queens at stonewall kicked your ass in a fight, what would you have called it? What would you call all the guys dying of AIDs early on while ACT UP was out, oh, praying(?) for your rights? What do you call all that stuff, John, hmmm? On you, I call it wasted.
