I been out for four years and I realized I have never hit on a guy before. I have always let guys hit on me/chase me, but I have never really chased anyone.

How do you hit on a guy? HELP!

    Questions would be:

1.) How to hit on a guy online?
2.) How to hit on a guy at the coffee shop?
    3.) What's a good line?
4.) Personal experience on what works and what doesn't!

I feel like I need to sharpen this skill, cuz I'm 23 after all.

    Are you from Tennessee?
    No, why do you ask?
Because you're the only ten I see.

So - what lines did they use on you that Worked?

    What lines didn't ?

Personally I dont use 'lines' I try and engage in conversation.

People usually like to talk about themselves, give them cause to, but dont over-do it.. it can be creepy when that happens..

Offer to buy them a drink if you're in the right location, or a coffee if you're able.

Do people actually still use lines?

Try telling them you're a millionaire

A good line is drawn with confidence and intent, informed by practice and technique, to convey the artist's expression.

Wait icon_neutral.gif Have I got this wrong ?

Whether online or in person, find out what you have in common and then invite him to go with you to do one of those things. "Hey let me know if you ever want to play tennis sometime..." "Let me give you my number... text me if you're bored and want to grab a beer or 4". It should be more of an offer to hang out.

I was on a date when I made a reference to that terrible song and he was just "Oh my God. I hate that song!" which followed me saying "I can't believe I just made that joke." icon_cool.gif

Just follow the first couple of minutes and you're good. If you get to the point where your showing off your bra then it's over. icon_wink.gif

Lines are cheesy unless delivered by Mae West or Woody Allen. Just be yourself, show genuine interest, invite them to join you in something - a drink, a walk, ask them about themselves... people love to be noticed!

I don't usually approach - but it can pay off quite handsomely when you get over your fears. I've had plenty of rejection too... which sucks, but not as much as not meeting a cool person 'cause you were shy. Practice makes the whole process easier over time. START TODAY.

You guys are too sweet... thanks. icon_redface.gif EVERYONE deals with rejection. Even the mega-rich and handsome - and yeah - I often feel intimidated about approaching guys - but when it works it's generally been good - and one time it turned into a relationship that lasted over a decade. So spin the wheel! icon_biggrin.gif

I wish a guy would hit on me with a cheesy line! I love a guy that can make me laugh with a good ole cliche.
