Huffpost is the last place to go for medical information since they frequently omit facts which don't concur with thier extreme liberal bias.

    Try the CDC instead:

Gay men need to be concerned about oral cancer:

•...5,600 men who get HPV-associated oropharyngeal cancers (cancers of the back of throat including base of tongue and tonsils) [Note: Many of these cancers may also be related to tobacco and alcohol use.]

Certain populations are at higher risk for some HPV-related health problems. This includes gay and bisexual men.....

I have Gardasil! Three shots over 9 months, each one about $300. Luckily my insurance covered it. I tolerated it well, aside from a slight fever after the last shot.

I think this and topics of the like are things we should discuss and familiarize ourselves as a people and a community more often...

I was doing some research on gay men and the virus and I believe it was an upwards of 60% of gay males have HPV/warts but only 5% show... thus guys are sleeping around or having fun (myself included) and not knowingly just spreading the virus. The reason it is so easy to catch a form of HPV because it is spread through skin to skin contact and icon_neutral.gificon_neutral.gifyou don't need to insert anywhere. icon_neutral.gificon_neutral.gif

    anyways,

play responsibility and if you know you are caring and active virus chill let it subside. Then so on and so forth...

    Carry on
