OK, now I've had some interesting comments over the past few years from gay friends about my Ralph Lauren polo fetish and my tendency to wear
Reebok zigs.. but this was a new one....

Had a quarter horse show over the weekend and wore my usual stuff.. polo shirt, western belt & belt buckle, wore wranglers instead of Levis and a pair of boots. Was eating with a couple of friends at a restaurant later when a couple of guys came up who know my friends but are acquaintances (at best) with me. I was introduced and one of them commented:

"You can't be gay, you dress nice, but kind of strange for a gay guy".
I was thinking, what a dweeb comment, but smiled and said "we all are unique people.. gay or straight".....

    An impression was indeed made....!

Perhaps they intended it as some sort of compliment ... Too bad your response wasn't ... "you can't be straight, you dress just like me".

They were expecting leather chaps. Frankly, so was I. Color me disappointed.

Because you are a kind person - But we all can't be Dorothy Parker or Dick Cavett.

I could have kicked them in the ass with my boots, but I'm sure a different impression would have been given, beyond "strange"...haha
