It may. Strange how our genes work. You may have the best mustache on RJ in a few years. Or not.

I had a terrible time with facial hair as a kid, starting at 12, because it was forbidden to have a beard or mustache in school. Same when I entered the US Army. I had to shave twice a day, a bitch.

I had a beard that was black as coal. Below is a pic of me at 53. No dye, though I did pluck some white hairs from my upper lip. I stopped that a year later when it got to be too much trouble, and finally shaved the whole thing off. Now I'm mostly white.

Point is, you accept what Nature gives you. And beware of what you ask for - it may not be what you imagine. icon_confused.gif

Me at 53. Is this what you really want?

I could only do a mustachette in my late teens (profile towel pic) with just some stupid chin hair. Couldn't do a full beard until my early 30s (also in profile). It was just spotty up until then.

But be happy being hairless, really, because later in life it just starts growing in the most surprising of places, like my ears in my 40s and now my upper back in my 50s. What the hell is happening to me? Actually it's not real noticeable but still it freaks me out.

Be careful what you wish for.

I can't grow a real beard either, yet what little is there is sprouting white hairs. Sometimes you just can't win.

You can always get a prescription for latisse. Increasingly, people are using it to stimulate eyebrow/ beard growth.

I had to start shaving every damn day when I was about 15 because my beard grew in so thick, but I never had a moustache. My beard is red but my moustache hairs (what little exists) are blond, so it looks weird when I try to do the goatee thing.
