So this Iowa guy is getting ready to move to the coast and so far I'm just getting all the usual "thank you for applying, but we found another candidate" responses to my job applications.

I'm guessing I'd have an easier time just moving and then using my networking ability to get interviews when I'm there. I started reaching out to friends about places to live/rent in hopes that I can set up something temporary until I find a job and can get a more permanent place at that point.

Does anyone have recommendations for things like extended stay inns or other temporary living that would be affordable? This is my first time moving, so any advice is definitely appreciated.

(Wish I could have a job lined up for me in advance, but so far that isn't panning out.) :-P

Thanks again for any suggestions you might have!

Hostel it. Or, go month to month in a furnished apartment.

Hmm, I've never considered a hostel before. I'll have to look into it. I just need to find a place I can rent for a few months until I land a job and then I can find something more permanent. icon_smile.gif
