I'm planning a trip to Chicago sometime soon, maybe one of the upcoming weekends or something. I'm going crazy here in Michigan and I think I need to get away for the weekend and explore. I haven't been out of the state in nearly 2 years, so it's time I stretch my legs a little, and where else but my favorite city in the midwest??

Since I don't really have money to get a hotel room, I figured one of you crazy bitches would take pity on me and let me crash on your couch.

Send me a message if you want a roommate for the weekend. I'm cuddly, potty trained, and can do tricks for entertainment. icon_wink.gif

well in that case, you won't need to crash at anyone's place. You'll have enough money for a hotel room and the tricks can come to you icon_lol.gif

I'm just kitten. But on the realz, personally I would take caution about arranging crashing with people you don't know too well. There's been a couple times people have offered me to spend the night, and then come to find out they have roommates and the whole story changed.

One guy in Utah did me like that. He kept holding crashing at his place over my head, I kind of changed my mind and just wanted to head home, but thought what the hell. Then once I got there he wanted to hookup but started talking about roommates and shit. I was already getting dark and I had 9 hours to drive.

That's why nowadays I don't depend on nan mother f-er for a place to crash especially if I'm traveling somewhere. If I do, the trip isn't worth going.

As entertaining as these sexual comments are, they're a little counterproductive...

^ Lol, you're asking for free accomodations from folks you don't know on a gay men's message board. You'd expect different?

Next time don't put the wink next to your offer to "do tricks for entertainment". That'll tone down the whore vibe a bit.

Hostels are $10-20 a night, and in large cities can be quite nice. Not to mention you can pay with cash, not ass.

Is it really that uncommon of a request?

I did actually, but I guess having the notion that some gay men could have a tad bit of courtesy is just wishful thinking. Thanks for the reality check though... I'll remember that for next time.

Not really, they're typically $30 and up a night.

I stayed in a hostel before in SF. I hope to never do that again. It was stressful.

    Jeez o' pete!
Must be because it's SF, I've stayed in quite a few and the highest one was 20, and that's because it had a breakfast bar.

I did it on RJ myself once actually. I needed to stay in LA for a night because of a work commitment and posted a thread for a host. Someone offered and I stayed there.

yourname2000 saidNot everyone is gonna be looking for sex....some just to bring the best of RJ into 3D, enjoy new company, etc.

If you ever make it to Van, Squintz (allamerican?), you can crash at my place....no funny business (but I'd love to hear about your adventures, haha!)

Now... what if I DO want the funny business?

Of course not everyone is looking for sex. And some people are really nice/trusting and may offer. But the jokes are inevitable.
