mindgarden saidWhat I'm looking for now is something like skype or facetime, that also allows you to send images during a conversation. I.e., I want to conference with clients and throw up keynote/powerpoint slides at the same time. I know that there are expensive corporate apps like that, but there ought to be a solution for the masses by now.
I don't know if Teamviewer would help. It's a program you install on both computers and it will broadcast your desktop to the other people. So you could open images on your screen and it would be seen by them. You could also open Paint or a spreadsheet and either party could draw or change data.
It's free-- not sure if that includes business use.
I can't believe how huge my log files for MSN are. Basically my whole life is documented there, since around 2003-4 when they added logging functionality. Any time I've needed to remember a link someone sent me, or which day something happened, I could search the log and find it.
I've requested that google talk add an import chat log function, along with lots of other people, but I don't think it's there yet. They should really get on it over the next 2 months!
