I don't know what this says about america, or if NRA numbers are fake just to try to spin their organisation's popularity, but it's beginning to look like the US has lost the battle to control or regulate any weapon, or the mass killings that result from them. I think everybody's just going to arm themselves, and shoot it out.

I'm curious - do you know how long it took for first responders to even arrive at Sandy Hook?

According to the email spams I'm getting from "Facebook," pretty much everyone I know is joining crazy new groups like "kristian girlz for gawd and gunz". And similar witty titles. I mean dozens of them. Non-ironic, as far as I can tell.

I think I need to 1. remember what my facebook password is, so I can finally delete it, and 2. get serious about installing those security cameras and alarms.

I believe, from what I understand, is that Americans are fearing the 2nd Amendment being "taken away". It can't really - another amendment has to void it or the Supreme Court has to interpret it as "bearing arms" only if a militia exists - which doesn't.

Yeah, the SCOTUS makeup isn't too different from when Heller and MacDonald were decided (still 4 liberals, 4 conservatives, and 1 conservative-leaning moderate).
