I moved from LA to NYC this week. Guys will say that they don't like guys who "are in the scene" etc etc. But I had a blast out in Weho and will miss my group for sure. I left LA for a change, born and raised in LA and want to change things up and further my career.

In Weho, there are bars and clubs that are good on certain nights and we know which big circuit events at coming up. I'm looking to meet new buds out in the city and dive straight into the scene here. Yes, I'm here for my career first but I'm also here to meet new guys and have a blast.

What bars/clubs are good certain days and what's a good way to meet new guys? I go to equinox on 17th st, so I know I can meet some guys through the gym, but that's all I got so far. Any advice for all you local NYCers?

if you are looking to meet new gay friends, go to hells kitchen - it's a pretty gay neighborhood. You could also join meet up groups for sports you like and make friends from there.

Welcome to NYC! Gays are everywhere.

I agree with Hell's Kitchen -- Barrage on 47th and 9th ave is one of my favorite bars. Industry is another great place.

For a younger/hip crowd try the East Village bars, for older try the West Village bars. For a club type scene try Splash or G Lounge.

If you ever need a drinking buddy, I'm here for you!

Oh man, when I read the title at first I misread it and thought you moved from NYC to LA, and I was gonna ask what the fuck's wrong with you.

Thanks man. Friends have been saying EV is more younger, hipster, little rough around the edges. Chelsea is more comparable to LA /weho where it's the more polished, trendy, younger crowd. HK is similar to Chelsea but has more bridgers and tunnlers..? The west village is the older crowd.

Still learning the bar scene ha
