I spend about $20 including tip. I used to spend more, but my stylist moved. It doesn't really matter how much I spend. There's only so much they can do with...

Change "Russian" to "from some south american country" and everything else stays the same.

$20 dollars. $15 b/c of student discount $5 for tipping. The man knows how to cut my hair very well, and one of the few barbers I have gone too where I don't feel like I'm being mauled by a bear....

It doesn't matter how much you pay for your haircut. What matters is how you look naked.

This is SoFla. Looks, car, and money prevail. Hair is just a headache.

When I saw you post this, I said to myself, If he pays $73 I'm going to smack a bitch..

I pay $19 for a haircut and a shampoo...and I think that is too much due to my haircuts usually take 5-6 minutes....I also give a 20% tip.

Go to www.sportclips.com, for locations in your area. You get hot towel for facial, both body massage chair while hair being shampooed, and once returned to the chair you get a back massage! They use Paul Mitchell Products. I love it! I jokely tell my friends, that I just got back from the sex parlor, because I always feel great and they treat you well! I recommend going there!icon_biggrin.gif

I think it is too much for the service you are getting. However on the good side, your barber may be cute! With the additional expense including the tips should be considered too! If you are happy with him and the service is great, by all means continue going there!

I buzz my own hair. It grows out so fast, I got tired of paying for weekly haircuts.

Also, men's haircuts are freaking expensive now. I used to pay about $15 + tip. And it wasn't even one of those trendy chill/masc/bro types of barbershops where the barbers all had tattoos, piercings, and wallet chains. It was just regular neighborhood barbershop.

yourname2000 saidOkay, so between your gym membership and your haircut, you're already down $100/mo? icon_eek.gif

You must be made of money...Miami rent, all the bar hopping, primping, clothes, perfumes, shoes, 4" lifts for your all your shoes, lubes, condoms....and hopefully some food along the way (god knows you're getting your protein)....how much does it cost you to live?? icon_eek.gif

    I use these at home:
    Wahl79524.jpg862710.jpg

So, between gym membership and haircut, I'm at about $28/mo after taxes, tips, etc. icon_wink.gif

(Of course, you look like that, and I look like this....so there's that.)

HEY! It costs a lot of money to look this cheap!!!icon_evil.gif

And this is not going to do absolutely anything to get make my future husband (or mother) proud, but my condoms and lube are free......

......mainly because I'm sleeping with my HIV counselor. Yes, he fucks me and also gives me my HIV screening. I'm a horrible person. I know.

    Interesting you mention GQ...

A few years back, there was an article about how much to spend on a haircut, and Glenn Obrien said if you're spending more than $20, you're getting ripped off. I used to think that was way too cheap and I'd end up getting my hair fucked up. But, at 29, I now agree with him.

I went to a pretty amazing salon for a while here in Nashville. Recently, the news has been all over Nashville, and GQ did a huge spread about the city. My barber happened to be in the magazine. Needless to say, the salon got a lot of attention. He's a friend, so wait time was never an issue, nor did I mind spending $40 to get it cut. But, I needed a trim one day and I was leaving unexpectedly the next day, so I went to a local barber shop that's on the campus of Vanderbilt.

$18 is all the guy charged, and it's the best haircut I ever got. Turns out, he also cuts my old barber's hair! I got lucky, but I really do think if you're going to a barber shop and work with guys who cut only guys' hair all day long, you can't go wrong. I mean, you probably COULD go wrong, but use good judgement.

$27 isn't that much money to spend on a haircut, especially in Miami, but if you're willing to post a topic on here about it, it seems like you're ready to try a cheaper alternative (even if it is just ten bucks).

    Good luck!
