I read this somewhere and tried it. Not half bad.

    Mash up 1 ripe bannana
Add a handful of dried cranberries
add a handful of sliced almonds
Add a cup of minute oats uncooked.

then you plop it on a cookie sheet in balls......bake it for about 8 - 10 minutes around 400 degrees if I am not mistaken.

They are not half bad... A little bit like a cookie- good for a pre-workout snack with a few power foods in them.

the banana "ice cream" recipe is genius and really adaptable to many flavors. the only "problem", if you can call it that, is how ripe the bananas are to begin with. the riper the banana the more intense the banana flavor that comes through. plantains also work well and have less sweetness though they make for a starchier texture.

Not half bad usually translates to "Not very good."

Dude, don't take the words so literally, it is a colloquialism

I will have to try them, only thing is where is the protein? I guess I could add some banana whey or maybe have some and have a protein shake at the same time or have it as a 'pudding' after some boiled eggs or something

there are protein cheesecake recipes online where you basically use protein powder, fat free cream cheese and subsititute splenda or splenda/sugar mix to cut back on sugars. fat and calories. I have tried cooking two already...a chocolate and a butterscotch using sugar free pudding mix. Its an alternative to fattening and sugar filled cheesecake and tastes pretty good

If you can make cookies out of oatmeal, why not cake, served with a side of eye candy?

Am I the only one who eats what they crave and know that cheat meals are there for that reason? So we can all go on without losing our sanity...

My Paleo mates usually do chia seeds soaked in coconut milk, add agave for sweetness, then blend an assortment of fruits over the top of it. Mango is awesome icon_smile.gif

Also, I'm not sure if it's only an Aussie thing, but go to your local organic supermarket (I go to about life) and see what they have for sale. A lot of their desserts either in the fridges or at their cafe is Paleo. icon_smile.gif
