Buying a movie camera, anyone knowledgeable on them?

    Hi Guys,
    buying a movie camera on ebay. Want to buy a windup either super8 or 16mm on ebay for 30 dollars or under...
    anyone able to help me out?

    is this a hobby? or something more professional

    i hope you realize this is an antique even miniDVs would be considered antique but can be used by amateurs who are just learning unless of course you like gramophones and stuff.

    Nice choice, at least aesthetically.

    Super 8 and 8mm are dreamy media, but I'm not sure how conveniently (or economically) you'll be able to have the film processed. In a couple of years you'll probably have paid for a video camera with the cost of celluloid film and processing what it is (probably a total of about 30-40 bucks per short roll of film to purchase and process).

    I ended up buying an 8mm
    and its hard to answer the question of whether its professional or a hobby...neither icon_smile.gif

    found a place that sells 8mm film for 16 dollars per 25__ roll (so about 4 minutes of footage)...
