    Has anyone done this?
    How did it help you?
    Are you still going?

I just started last week, NA and AA. My name is Zack, and I'm an addict. I haven't been clean long, but I'm working on it. icon_smile.gif I just got through my first step. It felt good.

    ZACK!

Best to you.... my dad was an alcoholic and died from it which makes me ACA (adult child of an Alcoholic)

I have worked on many 12 step programs (shooting as a DP/Cameraman)

I HAVE seen them work for people that really want it to.
You have MY support totally I understand.... was addicted to Coke for over 5 years but managed to kick it so it CAN BE DONE!

Private me if you want to just talk or know more.
My heart goes out to you.

Thanks for the support guys. I still have a long way to go. But I believe I'm on the right road, and I'm not going to give up on this icon_smile.gif Met a lot of great people. While I'm still getting used to all the hugging, it's still great. Today was someone's 7th birthday, 7 years clean. She got up and talked all about it, she truly is an inspiration to us all. I'll keep ya updated icon_smile.gif

Zack, Remember the old Chinese proverb, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step" You have taken that first step. Just keep it up. There are a lot of the others of us that are walking along beside you and can help you over the rough spots in the road.

    Good luck

Zack, I'm really happy that you're doing this for yourself. 12 step programs have prooven success of helping recovering alcoholics, addicts, and their families. If you (or anyone else for that matter) want to hear about my experiences, I'd be more than happy to talk about it via e-mail.
