Why do girls like to hang out with us more than hanging out with straight guys or other girls?

(Inspired by a good RJ member who says I should be less negative. So here it is.)

I noticed that the pretty girls like to hang out with me, and my other gay friends. We'd form bonds like sisters pretty quick and we'd give each other hugs and talk about everything, including from guys problems to our feelings to the best night cream to use and things.

My take on it is that there are so many things in common, and girls get their physical contact with another male from us.

    Your take?

Because it is extremely unlikely that either you or your friends will ever try to get into her pants.

Speak or yourself. There's only one girl that hangs out with me, and only when she's mountain biking with her husband and me.

We are not a threat to straight women. This is generally speaking unless a gay guy is hitting on the straight woman's bf or husband. Otherwise, women can get catty with other women and most of the time, drama ensues. As for straight guys, I agree with TellMeMoar.

I think it's because we make them look good. We can relate when talking about men. Unlike other girls, we're not competing for the same guy, nor will we show up to the party in the same dress. Sometimes they are just plain attracted to us.icon_lol.gif

If that's the case does that mean once she finds a husband or a boyfriend, we're gonna be in the dumpsters?

There I go again with my negativity. Sorry I'll stop

Unless they ain't yo friend in the first place they would be dating a guy who doesn't mind hanging out with you as well.

I think a lot of straight girls see us as asexual supporting players in their life dramas, existing only to give upbeat, cute and quirky fashion and dating tips.

In my opinion, girls/women are threatened by other girls/women alot of the time. Not only in the looks department, but there is a constant competition between having the best clothes, or popularity.

Girls and gay men get along so well because there is alot of the same benefits of a girl-girl relationship except with minimal competition, and minimal chance of causing relationship problems for each other.

Depends on how good of a friend you are with your female friends. I'm still good friends with 3 married women I went to school with. Their marriage has not affected our friendship. I love it when we have a girls' night out sans the husbands.
