I was always under the impression that high school was a shithole and anybody with half a brain would never want to go back.

Usually, yeah, but sometimes other people who are available pick it up. I've never been to any, and don't plan to, though.

Usually class President or if someone decides to take it upon themselves, possibly someone who still lives in the hometown. I just got the invite to my 10 year. Been debating on if I'm going to go

I always thought that it was the class officers.

However, the only reason that we had a 10-year reunion is that a couple of the women were recently divorced and on the hunt. I don't know why they bothered. Must have been the "rose-colored-glasses" thing. The organizers actually showed up in hot pants and gogo boots.

By the time the 30-year rolled around, it was clearly going to fizzle, but somehow they attached it to the 40-year class as a sort of parasite party. This was such a good idea, that now there is just a generic school reunion every year for all classes. I suspect that mostly ex-cheerleaders show up.

I always wonder what these things are actually like. I won't be attending, since even back then I had far better things to do than talk to those lowlifes DURING high school. Is it extremely awkward? do the popular ones really not amount to much? Im curious

Everybody gets fat and bald, except for the gay guys and the trophy wives.
People brag about their kids and their 401Ks. I never stayed long enough to find out what happens after the dinner.
