Either to buy or sell. It seems fewer people view items than in the past. Were you an avid user once, or still, or less so, or more so?

No, but I think the smartest person in the world was that girl who sold her virginity on eBay for over $5 million or so hahaha that was genius!

I've had too many bad experiences with ebay. Crappy humans do well there.

It's worth it to spend a few bucks more to deal face-to-face or with a retailer with a return policy (that doesn't require shipping costs).

It's still a decent place to find parts donors for used equipment. A couple of months ago, I saw a painting that I liked and found a reproduction of it on ebay for a few bucks. It has been a long time since I sold anything though. Now I have to liquidate all of my Mom's junk. Ugh. Not looking forward to it.

I do, but only "buy it now". I don't like bidding in the auctions.

I used eBay a few times to buy/sell Magic cards. But that was a year or two ago.

I go on Ebay everyday, and have found some great deals on car parts. I've managed to get some really rare parts that have never been used and are still in their original wrapper, especially for my '60 Mercury. The only bad thing about Ebay, for me, is it has replaced the good old days that were spent scrounging around in junkyards for little pieces of trim. I'm still trying to find a spare steering wheel for my '70 Caddy..grr.

Every rare blue moon. The last time was to buy a Bon Iver concert poster. I was just browsing and there it was!

I used it more several years ago! I enjoy the immediate gratification of walking into a retailer to get what I want when I want it.

I live in Northern Maine so online shopping is essential if you want something they don't sell at walmart. My general default is Amazon, but I have made one or 2 purchases on ebay for myself and for my cafe. eBay just seems wicked sketchy, so I generally only use it when I absolutely have to.

I use Ebay, to find items where its hard to get and prefer to "buy it now option". Sometimes, I list on Ebay, knowing it will be worth the effort and there will be a demand for the items I am selling after without luck selling locally.

I actually just bid on this the other night. I was willing to pay a good price, but it always goes over my limit ($183 the other night....usually over $200!). From left to right, that's Fran "the cute one", Francine "the pudgy Faith Tone", and Franny "the slut."

Very rarely. Sometimes, I liked to bid on items I didn't want just to drive the price up...icon_twisted.gif

ditto, or to fiind an odd item like a part to something that is ridiculously priced retail; like paying $4 instead of $32 for some lost plastic shelf clips.

I've been on ebay for 14 years and use it at least as much as ever for finding NOS parts for collector cars. Still, no better way. Too much hunting and walking at Hershey or Carlyle.
