I have always wondered how gay guys handle their real fathers who equal a gay guys fantasy man, not just looks wise, but also built and sexual aura and machismo that such men have, is it uncomfortable being around such fathers, how was it when you were a kid or in your teens, more so if you are totally the opposite in everyway.

I'm not sure I understand. Are you asking people here with hot fathers whether or not they wanted to get down and dirty with them?

...Whoever answers yes needs a visit to the Psychiatrist...

I think I understand the question. I've gone through it with my Mum as well as my Dad, I copped all the 'Dude, your Mum's so HOT' in high school a lot.

But about the Dad thing, well I moved across the country at the beginning of this year, while the rest of my family is back on the other side, so I haven't seen them much this year.

When my Dad was recently over a month or so ago, he asked to see where I play my Pool comps (The local gay pub) so I took him down. I spent about five minutes there with him before I got shitty and basically told a lot of guys to 'fuck off, he's my dad. No, not my DADDY.'

In essence it's exactly the same as having a hot Mum, except straight guys have a bit of decency about themselves when they meet your parents -_-

Ok, I guess that could work. It's hard for me to really understand if thats what he meant. He breaks it down so that it might be read to suggest as a gay man simply because our fathers might be hot it would be something we struggle with privately. Like a sexual attraction. Hopefully thats not what he meant.

If it is based on the MILF factor I don't really see how sexuality would make it any different if it's your father. Even if I wasn't gay I'd still tell a friend to SHUT THE FUCK UP about stuff like that. Some times the misconceptions about gay men shocks the hell out of me.

I told my best friend (who is straight) I thought his stepdad was hot....he laughed and said "well honestly, I know him and my mom aren't having sex so if it made him happier I'd say go for it."

Only one person understood what I'm saying, it had nothing to do with incest or even fanatsy, I just wante dto know if you felt uncomfortable around a hunky, athletic type of real man dad, more so if you were nerdy and totally the opposite.

Are you insecrure with yourself, especially if you are around Fit, Great Looking Men, who you would typically (sterotype) as unfit, balding, flabby, detached dads like Al Bundy "Married with Children" or Raymond "Everybody love Raymond"

    my anwser is... no

Me and my father did not get along so I'm not speaking from personal experience.

However, it is common for children and their parents to experience some sort of sexual tension as that child grows older.

Take for instance a 13 year old girl with a developed body, dad is not gonna pick her up and kiss her face all over like he used to. Why? Because somewhere inside he knows that "now it's creepy".

The same would also go for a developing boy. He will naturally be curious "to some degree" about what a grown man looks like and does. He may idolize his father's body and attitude but usually it won't ever cross the line to fantasy.

So in both cases that childhood affection bond drifts because both know that those kissy/huggy behaviors are now reserved for boyfriends and girlfriends.

As for the awkward social situations with my mom...YES! So often when we would go out and do stuff people would think we were a couple. She looked extremely young for her age for many years, has a hip style of dressing and doesn't act like a typical mom. I used to take her to Punk shows with me when I was teen. That was always a trip. Folks would be like "HOLY SHIT! That's your mom??!!"

It's why we love children. They are there for the huggles and the kisses and no one will ever think it weird in a sexual way. If we had somehow gotten rid of that fear of being intimate being mistaken as something sexual, a lot of teen-parent relationships would've been better.

Personally, I love hugs. icon_sad.gif But yeah... hugging grownups just increases the likelihood of you getting a bloody nose. icon_lol.gif

please man give me a brake, this is my dad and my step-mom, you know how the hell i feel when im with them? I feel like i dont belong, they always think my dad is my damn brother, and even if that bothers me sometimes I also feel proud of him, cause he is a good example to me in many ways. I just can say I think is really good if you have such parents, dont feel inferior(I do sometimes) just work on being like him, he is your dad man!
