    Hi Guys:

I have been studying up on the Vegan diet. I watched . The data was pretty impressive when it comes to health; lowers blood pressure, reverse diabetes, lower incident of cancer.....

I tried it for a few months, and I felt amazing. But, I lost size and strength in the gym. So I went back to eating some animal proteins( Meats, poultry, fish and cheese) I do try to minimize my animal protein intake. I like to say" I am vegan before 10.30 every day" icon_smile.gif. I would love to hear back from the community of their stories, data points etc.

If in fact animal proteins do cause heart disease cancer, it would be interesting to study body builders who consume massive amounts of animal protein and what their rate are for cancer and heart disease?

Ok. I am NOT a body builder but I am vegetarian. I do try to keep up a defined body in the gym and eat tons of Quorn (meat supplement made from mushrooom-type stuff) and body proteins. Seems to work ok and I have heard tales from fellow RJrs about vegan body builders making it.

Also.....I have recently had a new gym programme, I had only been doing it for a couple of weeks when the gym instructor came up to me and said I looked more muscled, as a friend had noticed too. So, it is possible!

I am vegan but not a body builder nor terribly concerned with piling on muscle. That said, they do exist:

These two both keep training logs in the vegan body building forums:
