    I'll start off.

I run track for Cal (UC Berkeley).

I'm hoping to find a guy on this site who has run faster than that! icon_razz.gif

My goal is to break 4:00. I'm a sophomore now. I'd be curious to know who the fastest openly gay runner in the mile is in the U.S. and world.

Well Chris, my best is just a 419 - you should be able to break 4 eventually... Prob before you graduate! icon_smile.gif

Just don't give up after you graduate...there is a high probability that your best races will come after college. Mine did.

4:11 but that was a long time ago. Hoping to run an equivalent 4:30 at the gay games next year.

4.43, ran it 2 weeks ago.

Only returned to athletics 3 months ago after 2 and a half years of injury - hopefully should be running a lot faster in a years time!

I feel so slow with a 5:55 compared to all of you, and that was as a freshman in high school. I've never come close to that since.

Only ever played soccer. Friends on the track team said that I couldn't hang with them and as a joke I ran it and had it timed. First and only time I've ever ran a timed mile and did it in 5:10. I wish I would have pursued running track in HS.
