Hey guys. I've been wearing knee length gym shorts to the gym but I would prefer something shorter. Has anyone seen shorter gym shorts WITHOUT that damn mesh liner? I'm a freeballer and don't want shorts with a liner. I'll wear boxers instead.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Er... not in recent decades. if it bothers you, just cut out the liner. I had to on a couple pair that started sagging recently. Went back to wearing a jock underneath.

I also work out in my regular cargo shorts (i.e. "work uniform") a lot, because I sometimes don't have time to change. No liner. Just gotta remember to take the cell phone out of my pocket.

Look for those shorts for tennis, they usually don't have liner. I have a hard time looking for the right pairs so when I see them, I'll buy and save them for future need. I don't think short shorts are out of fashion yet.

In my case, I look for 7" inseam. Short shorts make me look taller and more comfortable. I have no doubt that this fashion would come back in the near future because I don't see long ones below the knees are attractive!

Everyone seems to hate them but... lululemon has shorter shorts without the lining.

you can still find old fashoin gym shorts at any national sports store, target, walmart.if you can not find a pair, then buy the long knee length shorts and cut them off..

i have a pair of swim shorts that i have cut the liner out.the same size as the old fashion gym shorts.

have fun and enjoy free balling.

I can't imagine working out (lifting weights, running on a treadmill, etc) while free balling in shorts. Are you hoping everyone will see your cock? Seems a bit inappropriate for a gym.

Soffie made really comfortable shorts back in middle school. I would think they still do today. Also, Umbro I think make shorts without the liner.

You could wear rugby shorts, but I don't think you should do this at all to be honest. Hopefully this topic is only for fap material icon_neutral.gif

No one wants to glance over at you and see Dr. Kenneth Noisewater. Wear some normal human clothing at the gym dude.

So funny. Our gym shorts decades ago were practically into our crotch. You HAD to wear a jock, or your stuff would be on display.

I also cut out the liner, hate those things. If I'm just doing weights I can free-ball. Something more active I wear a jock.

No. Sorry. Don't be the guy at the gym who wears shorts that are so short that even Daisy Duke would be embarrassed for you. There's a guy who wears those (along with some sort of weird clown hat--don't ask), and no one likes him. Why? Because he free balls as well, and everyone can see his junk. Maybe if he was super hot (he's not), it'd be semi-ok. Instead, he's the guy everyone groans about whenever he comes in.

    Seriously, don't be that guy.

I'm a bigger fan of James Westfall to be honest.

I wear these. The sizing runs super small. I have a size 34 waist in trousers and I need the 2XL in these shorts.

Other that that, they're good to go. Inexpensive too. The ordering by internet and delivery makes it super convenient.

    This.

Though it should be mentioned that the "unless your hot" clause pretty much cancels all of life's fails.

I bet you're the kinda universally beloved guy who cuts the liner out of his speedos.

All of my gym shorts are all cotton and come just above the knee since I always felt like I'd be tripping over myself in basketball shorts. Finding them without liners is not difficult. Check the clothing sections of drugstores (seriously) and in lieu of that, Kmart, Walmart and Target.

    You guys are brutal. icon_lol.gif

I'm assuming he's not asking about the super short shorts. I agree with Ryan_Andrew's suggestion. Look for Soffe shorts. They make gym shorts that aren't the length of high water pants. I have the ones below. Really comfortable, just the right length, and they stretch/move with your body.
