Vegeterian (no meat or fish) for 20 years. Initially it was just a curiosity. As the feeling was ok I decided to stay with it.

Ovo-lacto-on rare-occasion-pecitarian vegetarian for about 20 years now.

Did not enjoy meat even as a little child. Always ordered everything burnt or I'd send it back to be reburned. Blood on a plate grossed me out. If I could recognize it as animal I wouldn't eat it. My family ate meat blood rare, ewwww.

Eventually I got used to it but cooked everything well-done until maybe late 20s, early 30s when i found myself eating red meat and grossed myself out again. It took me that long to realize that no one was feeding me this crap as they did when I was a kid but that I was doing it all on my own, so I stopped.

I like not eating meat. For me it isn't really ethics per se though I do enjoy the idea of reducing as I am able whatever suffering might be in the world. I love calling without guilt "mooooo" out the car window as I drive past a pasture of cows. I like petting cows, they're cute and I find most of them to have a better demeanor than most guys ya meet online.

I eat fish very few times a year. Can probably count it on one hand and mostly for practical reasons of eating out with friends when there are limited menu choices for non meat eaters.

Nutratarian, plant-strong, no oil vegan... several months and checking it out for general health reasons... a learning curve to be sure but well worth it.

    Meat-free & fish-free too icon_biggrin.gif

Want to give up eggs and dairy as I have an issue with keeping cows pregnant their whole life so they produce milk. As much as I do like cheese!

I follow whatever diet is currently the most healthy according to research for preventing diseases. I don't really care about the animals honestly.

Currently, I'm lacto-vegetarian most days if I cook, but if I am in public and there is a lean meat dish or fish dish, I will eat meat. It's just expensive, so I don't buy it for myself, and I don't really need any specific nutrient found in meat that isn't found in beans icon_smile.gif
