    Yuck!!!

Snow is a wonderful thing when skiing or playing with the Newfie, but man it sure makes the streets one grand mess.

    Snow anyone?

need the moisture here -- but sick of the snow we got 6 weeks ago which put us into a deep deep deep freeze (ie -20 to -40 since then) -- still 6" on the ground, but all the moisture has been sucked right out

Chicagoland needs it! Our water tables are so low after the 2012 summer drought. We may get "shrouded in snow" Thursday, but we need a lot of moisture for our farmers' crops this year.

We just got a dusting, but it is the 10 degrees F and -5 degrees F wind chill that is the wretched condition here.

Not a fan - Snow is fun to visit and play in. Then head home to warmer weather.

We don't get snow, but we definitely get snowbirds. And they make our streets a grand mess.

Snow is pretty when it falls and gets you a day or two off work/school. After that, it becomes annoying. It sucks having to shovel out your car, driveway, sidewalks, and all that (even though it's a great workout). I hate the muddy and icy conditions from snow melt too.

So far it's snowed only a few times here in the DC metro, but nothing impressive or accumulative.

My friend Melissa lives in the city and she was just telling me on New Year's that she has never seen snow stick in Paris. She said the most she's seen was flurries that immediately melted. More rain than snow this time of year, she said.

We went to New Hampshire for Christmas & New Years, intentionally for the purpose of having snow. We're both originally from the US Northeast and aren't really put into the holiday spirit by decorating Florida palm trees.

So here's the town square where we stayed, just a couple of blocks away from our hosts' house. And here we are Christmas morning, still partly dressed for bed, called away from opening presents by our friends to run out a side door and take this pic.

There was no snow on the ground Christmas Eve, but we awoke to this, a proverbial White Christmas as we had hoped. It continued to snow the following days, 10 inches on the ground before we left. And then we also went to Vermont.

That kissing scene is what I am longing to dream... to grow with a man until we get old even in a snow... but I am living in a dessert, does anyone love cactus? icon_eek.gif

Thank you my dear! We were with 2 other gay couples on this trip into Vermont, and we all took turns at that kissing bridge spot. But you should have the seen the expressions of the straight couples lined up for their own turn for a picture!

Still, no one complained or said anything to us, no objections or ugly words. Things may be getting better, at least in some parts of the US. icon_biggrin.gif
