It sounds a little like the drink they had the bartender "invent" for my birthday last year. But I remember little after that point.

And I also heard that dropping some vitamins and some herbal powders into a martini makes it "good for you" too. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hmm... and it's my birthday again this weekend...

Putting chocolate and espresso in a martini makes it even better.

    Happy Birthday! icon_biggrin.gif

Why wouldn't it be? I mean, I'm sure our ancestors ate their fair share of fermented berries...

I've always wanted to try making some kind of proteinbased drink but never really dared to, but it does seem kind of awesome.

I',m not quite sure what the point of such a drink would be. Protein shakes are really to fuel your workout and recovery, so you drink them before or afterwards. And you don't want alcohol in those as the alcohol would interfere with the efficient absortption of the nutrients in your shake. And if you want to have an alcoholic drink to relax, way past the post-workout metabolic window, then there are so many tasty recipes for drinks that I wouldn't resort to protein powder as an ingredient. But if it makes you feel better about drinking something that's bad for you, then why not. No worse than any other novelty vodkatini.

icon_rolleyes.gif Kind of obvious: It's for when you have no Bailey's left in the house and the liquor store is closed and/or fifty miles away. AKA Watchagot cocktail.

    It sounds yummy!

Is there a vodka-based detox that you suggest for the day after?

If you're looking for something to puke up the overdose, try Epicak. Otherwise, why mix those?

Syrup of ipecac is known to cause serious degradation to muscle tissue including cardiomyocites (heart cells).
The only people still using Ipecac are bulimics, and then with disastrous side-effects (including death). Karen Carpenter's death is believed to have been a direct result of her use of syrup of ipecac.

I have a lot of trouble swallowing protein powder. I'd rather drink piss.

I try to put it into anything in small amounts so I don't notice it.

Does the vodka help the powder dissolve?

They say a Philips Screwdriver fixes everything.
(vodka mixed with Philips milk of magnesia)
