wild_sky360 saidWhat a blast! I've hiked desert trails, but haven't ridden them (yet), so it would be unfair to make a decision yet. I can say with certainty, though, that the forest trails here are nicely shaded and very comfortable to ride. It's nice to stop in the shade for water when you get tired.
I love trails like that. I'll take a wide open desert trail over a forest, every time.
Sunrise and late afternoons. The colors in that seemingly barren landscape will pop in that light and the temps swing. You'll probably want some local advice for a tire swap. On that dry, loose, trail, they should be grabbier than you're used to; might even go fat.
