Define "return" any way you see fit.

Photo comments are hard to come up with and to the writer seem intimate between you and one other person, even though they are public. Forum posts get you more bang for your buck, because they can be whatever you want them to be, and you don't have to compliment anyone, though compliments always help.icon_razz.gif

    Definitely forums!
I'm new to RJ & I like posting in forums & in return I made few friends via these forums...they like my posts & I'm happy for it! icon_smile.gif

If it is not for Forums, I would have left RJ long before...

I always feel a bit desperate writing a photo comment icon_redface.gif

    <---- a photo comment slut.
I say slut and not whore, because I hardly ever get a return for payment.
So, Yeah, forums, but actually my best virtual buddy's have come from creeping my creepers.

Uh...not usually trying to be too creative here. (Does that even have payoff?..here? well maybe it does in some ways...) Uh...well... usually I'm just replying, commenting or laughing at post replies & gifs. Every now and then I will drop some words for wisdom to deaf ears but besides that, just here killing time.

An interesting question, that I hadn't thought to ask.

For me, it's the forums. I like the social interaction... that's the most important thing to me. Even if it is only "shooting the shit" as it were.

Yes, sometimes a photo comment sparks more personal 1-on-1 interaction, and deeper conversations with one person, but not often in my experience.
