I used to be able to mail pics from my phone with no trouble. But since I downloaded the latest OS for my iPhone 4, I can go thru the same email procedure, but the photos don't send ...and I get no error message.

    Any ideas?

I looked in the Settings app and I don't see anything obviously turned off.

I want to post pics and vid from our DC get together.

TheGuyNextDoor saidIn your photo area, touch the photo till you see the word Copy..
    Now, tap copy.
Go back to your email andon the bottom of the text area, touch the screen. When Paste appears, touch it David. Damn it... Just touch it I say!!!
    Voila! Photo appears.
    Wash, rinse, repeat.

Push Send and your date is on his way!
Opps! Just joking! Red wine makes my fingers type funny letters...

    : )

Oops! That didn't work for me. The pic pasted in the email.....ginormous!....but it didn't transmit.

When I email from the camera roll, it gives me the option to reduce the pic size.

After selecting the photo tap on it. A menu pops up on the bottom. Tap on the icon on the left that looks like a box with an arrow coming out of it. Then click on the mail icon that will pop up.

Are you trying to email the pics to someone? Or just trying to get them on your computer?

Try viewing the photo, then check the options to "share" or something like that.

To submit pictures by email open the album where the pictures are located, tap edit on the top right corner, tap the pictures you want(max 4 per email) tap share and tap on mail. The pictures won't send right away, they will be uploaded first then sent. While the pictures are uploading your email contanining the pictures will be held in the outbox folder. The outbox only shows when an email is being sent, if it does not show it means nothing is being sent. Anyways, you can always open mail and check this folder to make sure the email is being uploaded. If the iPhone is not set to mute you will hear a swoosh sound when the pictures finally uploaded and the email was sent. If the pictures never sent check if the email is still in the outbox, if so give it more time, you wifi or cellular data connection may be slow and the upload is taking long(it will time out if it takes too long though). If the email refuses to leave the outbox and your connection is perfectly fine(download speed test to check of if your downloads and uploads are decent. More than 1mbps for uploads is good enough, more than 10mbps for downloads is good enough) then check your email settings. Make sure you can send emails at all, with or without pictures. If you're able to send emails without pictures but not with pictures and your connection is stable, reinstall iOS6, recover from backup if possible. If that doesn't change anything, proceed with a clean install and get your data back from iCloud. If that doesn't work, you're iPhone is fucked! Return to the Apple store and demand a replacement.

To have access to your photostreams on iPad and Apple TVs you just click on the photostream album. On Macs you just open iPhoto and click on the photostream album. On windows you download and install the iCloud client for Windows 7 and it will give you access to your photostream album and other stuff as well.

    Hope that helps.

note: iCloud! To keep it simple all you need to know right now is that iCloud is always working on background and you rarely need to be aware of it, but occasionally you may want to have some control. If so I can guide you through it.

Thank you very much, charlitos! That is way information overload for me. But you did make me think of all those cables that came in the box. I plugef the phone into the computer and just dragged the photos to my computer's hard drive.

I still don't know how to make the email on the phone work tho. I can't find any outbox.

Ya i wasnt sure what about the actual problem was so I tried to explain every possible scenario. The email doesnt work or just sending pictures through email doesnt work? If your email does not work, open settings->mail and set it up once again.

It worked fine before I changed my email password.

I must be typing too fast for the Canadians to keep up. Let me slow it down.
