What's with all the guys (online and offline) who feel the need to make it known that they don't give a rat's ass about fashion and they'll never understand it?
If somebody made a thread about cooking nobody would say "I don't understand the appeal of decadent food. I'll just stick to mac 'n' cheese thanks."
I was thinking about it earlier and I realized that fashion is a lot like cuisine.
The top chefs in the world understand exactly what makes a dish perfect. People go to school for years to learn how to tailor garments to fit properly on different body types, and colour theory, and what fabrics go together etc., the same way that people go to school for years to learn about cuisine and what flavours go together and how to portion a dish perfectly etc. I've never heard anybody argue with a chef about that sort of stuff, yet people are always arguing against stuff I post about fashion. Just because somebody doesn't like escargot doesn't make it any less of a high-end delicacy, the same way that just because you don't like what I'm posting doesn't make it any less fabulous.
