Any else dislike the new Equinox ads all over RealJock?

Lately on this website (a gay website) I've been noticing a lot of Equinox gym ads that I feel are completely out of touch with the users of this site. They feature sexy ladies sprawled across pool tables or lounging around in lingerie across the backs of muscular men. Considering this is website for GAY jocks, I find it annoying that Equinox would submit such ads to Real Jock and that Real Jock would run their ads that obviously focus on a heterosexual demographic. Perhaps I'm being too sensitive but in an age when we are now getting ads tailored to our interests, their ads strike me as irrelevant. Make better ads!!

    Anyone else feel this way?

I agree with you about Equinox. The ad should have been more tailored to 'us' and I too have a bit of a beef with the company. While working out there, I'm constantly barraged by trainers continuously hitting on me (not for sex - but to ask if I want to engage them for services). They constantly try to hold doors for me, or reset pins, or go get water, ask inane questions about my workout goals, etc. I know they're just doing their jobs - and they're all good guys, but I'm annoyed that the company has them acting like used car salesmen - - - always trying to get me to spend some more money. (I've been working out since high school - and have been trained by some of the best coaches anywhere - so I don't need to have my hand held while I'm in the gym). That's my rant - - - nothing horrendous - but I'm not wild about Equinox's money grubbing ways.

Haven't really noticed them. Could it be that these ads are targeted to your IP address? Actually, I've been getting lots of ads with hot shirtless guys in my regular news feeds this week. Bonus. icon_razz.gif

Not everyone gets the same ads. I get plagued with ones for Porsche. And Freshpair.

Yes, I suppose you'll only see those ads that pertain to your physical proximity to an Equinox, or a Porsche, but I hope that if we are to face an endless stream of ads, then they be better!!, if such a notion isn't old fashioned ;)

Better than the GoDaddy Super Bowl Chubby Nerd Kiss ad. That ad makes me squirm every time I see it--not sure why.
