Hey, my name is Ian. I basically love to play sports and be adventurous and live life to the max. I lift almost everyday and keep my body in good shape. I have a good sense of humor and I people say that I'm a really nice person.

Anyway, everytime I try and talk to guys who are either 21 or older, I basically get a door slammed in my face. I'm 19 and I'm just wondering if you guys think that being younger is somewhat of a turn off. Majority of the time I try to talk to people, its just to get to know them and be social. What's the deal?

Yes. Young guys are not typically ready to be in a serious relationship. They just aren't really mature enough for it.

Yet somehow I ended up in a relationship with a 20 year old. Who is awesome...and makes me laugh, alot.

So hang in there, you'll meet someone.

I don't think people see young age as a turn off...I think they see it as being immature, which is only the case half of the time icon_lol.gif

Even though you might think you're old you're still a baby in terms of adulthood, and generally guys don't want do date a "teenager".

Yeah, I understand what you are trying to say, its just that majority of the time I'm just trying to talk to these guys. A.k.a, not looking for a relationship and they don't even reply. I mean, at least tell me that you don't want to talk.

For this, all past, and all future threads, of the basic formula "Is X attractive/desirable/a turn off/a turn on/attracted to/disgusted by/a good thing/ a bad thing" the definitive and final answer is

"Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't".

    The End.

But if we came up with real answers to everything WHAT WOULD WE TALK ABOUT ALL DAY!?

Sidenote, someone explain this to me too. I'm not the most mature person in the world, but the drunkard 26 year olds who can't carry on an intelligent conversation get more dates than me. Not happy 'bout it.

When someone is 19, it's still a little bit of a scary age to look at for the older folk: they can't drink and they're still effectively teenagers.

It may not seem like a big difference but there is a huge difference between 19 and 20.

nah, 20 is just as lame. The difference is anyone <21 will probably be used for a quick fuck and nothing more.

Once upon a time when I was younger in my mid late twenties I sort of dated an 18 y/o for about a month. Sweetest guy ever, although I would try to go out to places with him and he would always say it was boring, so I'd ask him what he want to do and he would say he didn't care he just want to hang out with me and he never offered up something to do. He did love his car. I was in the process of getting ready to move so it didn't last, but had I stayed, maybe it might have gone somewhere further, but it never really went anywhere.

I actually looked at some pretty awesome cosplay wigs the other day which I thought would be cool for some conceptual pics.

I secretly dream of buying a pastel pink cosplay wig and wearing it everyday as if it's my real hair.

There are so many 19 to 20 year olds all saying the same thing. You guys should exchange numbers.

That would only replicate the problem. People like you, (I am assuming) who have experience, should try to help each individual.

it just depends on the guy and what their preference is.

some guys like younger, some like older.

i like guys a little older than me personally, so i'd never date or hook up with someone younger than me tbh

I'd only date a younger guy if he completely worshiped me and did everything I said.
