BEWARE OF VALLETA - THIS PROFILE IS A FRAUD

This man has stolen the identity of a US military member. He is not in the Navy. He is from Pakistan. He uses Real Jock to hook people and then takes them to Messenger to scam money from them. He will tell you he is serving in Afghanistan and needs $700 to pay for medication that the Navy will not provide. He will also tell you he is coming home soon and will ask you to buy clothing for him to wear home. He will give you the name of a female named Sgt. Smith in N.C. and ask you to send the money to her. I did a check on Sgt. Smith from N.C. and she is passed away. He has another profile on adam4adam.com under Valleta. He also has a profile on Facebook under Valleta Carlo. The info in each is differtent. On Facebook he lives in LA. On Real Jock it's NYC and on adam4adam it's New Albion, NY.

This man states on one profile he is in Baghdad and on another he is serving in Afghanistan. He states on Facebook that he is in the Navy and The USMC. My family has served this country. I lost a member of my family in Iraq. This man is a scum bag. Not only is he perptrating a fraud. He stole the identity and pictures of one of our fine soldiers.

I reported this to Real Jock staff. Gave them all the info and evidence. They don't seem to care. I could care less if they close my account or not but I'm telling the staff of Real Jock that they should be ashamed for allowing this scum bag to use Real Jock to hook people .... and to post stolen pics of one of America's fine soldiers. Real Jock staff was notified and just continues to allow this man to disrespect our Great American Servicemen.

Real Jock member: laurent_james informed me by email that this man also tried to scam money from him.

Valleta attempted to romance me. When I discovered he was a fraud I informed him I would report him. He then told me he would hunt me down and kill me.

I am working with adam4adam.com and Facebook to stop this scum bag. I would be thankful for any help. I am trying to find the true identity of the soldier in the pics he posted so I can inform the honorable man that served our country that this fake man has stolen his pics. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

NOTE: The thread is about a low life who stole the pics/identity of a man who serves our country, and puts his life on the line for our freedom - and is using the pics/identity of the serviceman to attempt to scam money from people. I have received many personal emails from wonderful people on RJ who get it and have the character to understand the purpose of respecting the people who serve our country. It is also sad to say I've received just as many emails from people who don't have the character to realize what a disrespect it is to steal the pics/identity of a man who puts his life on the line in service to our country. Very sad that an American citizen would lack the character to understand the message.

If you NEED medication.. the Navy will provide it. At least the U.S. Navy.

It can take more than a day for admin to respond, OP.

Using google image search turned up interesting results:

There are literally hundreds of fake profiles with stolen pictures. Substantiate proof (a link to the fake pics) and report the profile. Don't make threads about each fake profile though.

Thanks for posting this. I know a guy who recently fell for an online scammer posing as a boyfriend and lost over $600 to help this liar "fly from Afghanistan back to the States so they could spend time with each other." That hurt and there are too many stories out there like this.

Yeah, bout a month ago I got hit-on by someone with the same MO. Might have been the same guy (eta--although he was using different pics). This probably happens more to us older guys. But it was obvious to me from the get-go that he was misrepresenting himself. The written english was atrocious and didn't 'sound' at all like an american.

I had something similar. It was a young guy in his early 20s, claimed to be a pacific islander yet the pics of a caucasian guy and living in Canada. He said he needed money to claim his inheritance from his grandmother in the States.
