Yeah it's all standard creationist stealth legislation, but what struck me was this:

http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2013/02/intelligent-design-missouri-evolutionHB 291, the "Missouri Standard Science Act," redefines a few things you thought you already knew about science. For example, a "hypothesis" is redefined as something that reflects a "minority of scientific opinion and is "philosophically unpopular." A scientific theory is "an inferred explanation...whose components are data, logic and faith-based philosophy." And "destiny" is not something that $5 fortune tellers believe in; Instead, it's "the events and processes that define the future of the universe, galaxies, stars, our solar system, earth, plant life, animal life, and the human race."

    Are you kidding me?

Since when is Missouri (and other bible belt states) even relevant to the US? They're only here because it's illegal to bomb them.

Destiny defined future, huh? God's going to be very upset to learn about this (so they better keep it quiet) considering all that work He did on creating evil so that instead of a destiny defined future we'd have the freedom to make a future of our own choosing. You know, free choice and all that.

So I guess not only does God laugh when man plans, but apparently man laughs when God plans too.

    Fair is fair.

He's an evil genius! It's a brilliant way to balance the state budget.

By forcing Missouri college students to learn stupid shit, the bill makes a degree from Missouri schools worth less. Soon enough, the state will shut down all colleges in Missouri and save a considerable portion of the education budget. Finally, the state can reopen the campuses as prisons or labor camps! Brilliant!
