Still, Ms. Palin's "you betcha" phrases drew a tremendous amount of search interest. In referencing the average American, she used the phrase "Joe Sixpack." The term immediately shot up in Search ("Hockey Mom" is so last month). Palin also referred to John McCain as "the maverick" several times. For viewers, this clearly inspired memories of one of Tom Cruise's greatest hits. That's right, lookups on "top gun maverick" went supersonic. Finally, Palin's mispronunciation of the word "nuclear" drew an atomic level of searches for "nuclear vs. nucular." Remember: when in doubt, just sound it out.

When I think of Joe Sixpack, I think of a hot man with killer abs. However, I believe she was talking about a man carrying a six pack of beer.

    Your thoughts?

Probably so, with a gun rack in the back of his pick up on his way to a NASCAR race, stopping by the local adult video store, for a blow job, before he goes him to Peggy Sue and the five kids!

Did anyone else find her pronounciation of "blunder" to sound like "blender"? She said it several times and it really stood out for me.

During a Vice-Presidential Debate Sara Palin Winked at the camera
and No One said anything about it????

Could you imagine the uproar if Hillary Clinton winked at the camera?
... or Joe Biden? OR BARACK OBAMA?

I'm sorry but has America lost its marbles completely?
She called General McKiernan ... McClellan
uses catch phrases like "Joe Sixpack" "Maverick"?

The Dems better step up their attacks on her. I see she was on Fixed(FOX) news today, mouthing off. I think Biden should have confronted a little of her nonsense in public last night.

Why not "Joe baseball coach" or "Joe construction foreman"? the indication seemed to me to say that Joe is a fuck up and drinks beer all day (extrapollate to 'all men') and that the "Hockey Moms" are the ones who are doing all the work to raise the children, while joe sits on his ass and downs beer.

I'm offended. but that's the least of it...
