Eli Roth just finished wrapping up his latest horror film in the jungles of Chile & Peru, to present his modern day "homage" to the cannibal/jungle/tribe horror film that exploded with the 1980 film CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST (spouted as the original first "Blair Witch Project" type found footage film).

In The Green Inferno - A group of student activists from New York City travel to the Amazon to protect a dying tribe, but crash in the jungle and are taken hostage by the very natives they saved.

This very picture, for some reason, elicits anxiety in me. The poor girl looks to have gone through literal bloody hell as she is being surrounded/touched/grabbed/stabbed/having her hair ripped out. This is gonna be one brutal movie - & I can gladly say I'm more stoked for this film than any of his previous "Hostel" films!!

Who else may be checking this one out? Trailer to come in near future.
