I'm trying to make an effort to work out 7 days a week. I make sure I lift weights 5 of those.

Today I did legs, followed by a session of abs.

What muscle group(s) did you guys work out today?

3 miles is good. I usually don't do any cardio, I've been advised to do weights only.

7 days sounds too much for me.

Shoulders today, chest yesterday. Arms tomorrow. Then back, then legs then start over. A little cardio to warm up and cool down, about 15 minutes each.

Unless your doing a couple days of light activity and counting those, 7 days of lifting or intense cardio is too much. Your body needs to recover, and that isn't letting it...

I haven't done anything yet today, but yesterday I ran 15 miles. I do that twice a week. Three times if I'm really stressed.

I'd say I'm counting some days of light activity. A couple of days a week I'll do just a short session of abs and nothing else.

I am in the gym 7 days a week, but only lift 5 of those. Tonight its shoulders for me, mainly delts. Will also hit some sort of arms as well.

7 days a week is to many. Either you aren't giving yourself enough recovery time, or you aren't training intensely enough to be making a difference.

    More is not always better!

"How many aspirin do you take when you have a headache?" "Well, 2"
"Why not the whole bottle?? If two works good then more will work better right?"

I work out 3 to 4 times per week. It's about what you do, not just logging time at the gym.
