Yeah, me too... I think nowadays draft horse breeds somehow descend from European medieval war horses... And oh! yeah: no tears, but really warmed my heart and made my whole body tingle - kinda like before a good orgasm..icon_razz.gif

It was a superbowl ad that str8 guys reacted to with tears. You might need to check your gay credentials.

Over the years I've seen the Clydesdales a few times at Busch Gardens in Tampa FL. I've been around big horses, my niece is tiny but rides an unusually large horse. But these guys are magnificant, off the scale, and yes, they are huge and imposing with those big furry feet of theirs. It is a pleasure to be around them. Raising them must be a wonderful job. I would love that.

When Busch was bought out a few years back they relocated their Clydesdales out of Florida. My last time there the stalls were empty of them. So sad. They had such beautiful stables. Really treated like royalty. I think I have a picture somewhere of me posing with one when I was a teen. They stole my heart a long time ago.

I find it really unsweet actually. The advertisers saw how viral the real and natural videos of an animal's capacity of love for a human and they manufactured a video to clone that scenario and manipulate us all. Then they stamped their brand on it.

And you all fell for it.

My emotions were so shamelessly yet successfully tugged as to compel my running to the store and filling my fridge with Budweiser. I feel so exploited. Actually I prefer Stella yet I don't believe I've ever seen a single ad for it.

I'm not sure what this had to do with beer. icon_neutral.gif

No tears for me though. Mostly because I didn't get it, partly because I'm good at hiding emotion.

I've got cable but don't watch it much--was thinking of going with some of the alternatives suggested in another thread. So seriously I've no idea. I only learned about the product because I couldn't make up my mind while waiting for a pizza pie up the road and asked the bar tender to surprise me. Turns out he selected a very nice beer that I've enjoyed ever since.

I would imagine advertising still works--a crap load of money goes into it--but I think even American rednecks must be bit more sophisticated about watching them, certainly I would credit this gay online community for being able to distinguish between the creative aspects of advertising and separate that from its supposed influence over our procurement decision making. Well, okay, maybe not so much the fashion threads, but beer? Who ever puts something in their mouth that they don't like just because of an emotional laden advertisement?

Here, take a swig of this fussy pussy, I mean pouilly fuisse, yer gonna love it. Cue the dying draft horse!
