Secret funding helped build vast network of climate denial thinktanks

Anonymous billionaires donated $120m to more than 100 anti-climate groups working to discredit climate change science

It's the lack of financial resource for opinion manipulation that I would have hard time to believe.
It's nothing more than the traditional political approach, the sad thing is that, apparently, specially in USA, it work even for scientific subjects.

This strategy seems to have parallels with other campaigns to discredit legitimate science. For example it reminds me tobacco companies using any means necessary to confuse public opinion about the harmful effects of the drug.

There is no real debate in the scientific community regarding anthropogenic global warming. And it seems that public debate is on the decline now that we are witnessing 'Once In A Century' extreme weather patterns every few years. The Republican Party owns the political inaction on this issue just like they own their staunch opposition to gay equality. Younger generations look at the GOP and see a group of entitled white men spreading fear, uncertainty, and doubt about legitimate science and social concerns.

    Science by slogan.

    Sigh.
