redheadguy saidWhat would you do if, hypothetically speaking, you found yourself in the situation of dating two really great guys? Both were really sexy, funny, good company and wanted to be your boyfriend.
Hypothetically speaking what would you do?
No need to speak hypothetically; a little over 5 years ago I started this "friends with benefits" thing with a guy (a little younger than me, cute, pretty similar to me, fun in bed) but around the same time this other guy I was becoming friends with (a little older than me, also cute, radically different from me, kinda silly-fun) started putting the moves on me and we started fooling around. They knew about each other, were supposedly both okay with the situation since I wasn't looking for a relationship at the time, and we even hung out together and made a scene or two at the bar.
Eventually the slightly older guy started to want more and asked me to stop the fooling around with the other guy and couple up with him. The other guy said he was okay with it, wished us well, went on to find a boyfriend himself. But his boyfriend told me later on, after a little tension that I didn't understand, that it was because the one I 'gave up' really liked me and would have liked for us to have been more serious.
But the bf and I are still together, though the last 5 years haven't been all gumdrops and bliss. And I'm still long-distance friends with the other guy. If there's a point to the story, I suppose it's "take a chance with the one who asks first, because they probably want it more."
