Most people have a luxury or something they pamper themselves with, even when you really shouldn't be spending the money. What is yours?

I notice many people in their 20's seem to buy designer clothes or accessories when they can not afford to live the associated lifestyle.

For me, I like to have the latest technology item. I have gotten much better about it, but I used to always have the latest iphone and macbook air. Really I should have gone with a more reasonably priced laptop, and only upgraded my phone every 2 years.

    Shoes.
Like, not even funny. There are so many pairs of shoes that I want but so few that I can afford.

Have a love of clothes in general, from shoes to underwear, to jeans... for all different reasons.

Spend a lot on gym stuff.

And I'm about to get a new car.

I used to have a theory that tools should be exempt from budgetary rationing. Because they were, like, an investment. Hence my ludicrously equipped workshop. But now I lean more toward the idea that if engineers were actually doing their damned jobs, we would be able to dis- and re-assemble anything on the planet with a small set of hand tools. And for most objects, preferably a standard pocket multi-tool.

Now I'm all into finding the smallest set of anything that will do the job.

But I spend too much money on my boat.

A good meal, good drink, and being around friends. Also getting a good mani and pedi. Or even better... getting a shave from a barber. Nothing says... I AM MAN! like that... sometimes its just great being a guy.

Having two gym memberships. In theory it's because I split my time in two states, but the nice spa at the second one has me wanting to spend more time there.

I don't really have a vice like that. I'm good with my money. I sometimes overspend on electronics by getting something with more feature or higher end than I need.

I also spend a lot of money on gourmet chocolates once in a while. Not only do they taste better, I eat them more slowly and savor them instead of pigging out. Grocery store chocolate can also hurt my stomach because it has more milk in it.

Yeah, I'm not that exciting. icon_neutral.gif

I'm not good with my money...

I bought a new iPad, iPhone, shoes, clothing, games, laptop, etc just in 3 months times. I also like to dine expensively with wine.

Now, I give all my money to my bf for safekeeping and investment.
