Confusion on Obama/Biden vs. McCain/Palin

    saw this on Facebook

I'm a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight…..

    * If you grow up in Hawaii , raised by your grandparents, you're 'exotic, different.'

    * Grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers, yours is a quintessential American story.

    * If your name is Barack you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.

    * Name your kids Willow , Trig and Track, you're a maverick.

    * Graduate from Harvard law School and you are unstable.

    * Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you're well grounded.

    * If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the first black

President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that

Registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law

professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over

750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human

Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state

of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs,

Environment and Public Works and Veteran's Affairs committees, you don't have any

    real leadership experience.

    * If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city council and 6

years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, 20 months as the

governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you're qualified to become

the country's second highest ranking executive and next in line behind a man

    in his eighth decade.

    * If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 beautiful

daughters, all within Protestant churches, you're not a real Christian.

    * If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and then left your disfigured wife

and married the heiress the next month, you're a true Christian.

    * If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of

birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.

    * If, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other option in sex

education in your state's school system while your unwed teen daughter ends up

    pregnant, you're very responsible.

    * If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a prestigious

Law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city community, then gave that up to

raise a family, your family's values don't represent America 's.

    * If you're husband is nicknamed "First Dude", with at least one DWI conviction and

no college education, who didn't register to vote until age 25 and once was a

member of a group that advocated the secession of Alaska from the USA, your

    family is extremely admirable.

OK, that makes it much more clearer now…

LMAO!!! After the Swift-boating of John Kerry, did we expect anything else from the Republicans? In politics, reality is what you repeat.

But this is the republicans tactic ...
they have successfully tapped into a mistrust in Middle America of anything educated .... how they can underfund schools by telling people it's the teachers fault
how they can have people go against VERY Well documented Scientific facts that point to climate change and the Evolutionary process

If you can say that you have voted for George W Bush A PRODUCT of an elite Washingtonian family
or are thinking of voting for Grampy because of Sara Palin
a woman SO molded in the same vein as every neocon that there is there now
You my dear Sir Have a Screw loose

allgoodinhwood> she'd never use the word "ergo"

Of course not. That's two different words, and usually other words appear in between. For example: "Er, I think I'll go get me some moose burgers."

    D'oh!

a community organizer, having no clear stance on anything, and trying to satisfy the wants or desires of every american= someone who's full of S***! sure politicians are sketchy, but obama may just nab the AP poll's sketchiest politician who's a presidential candidate of all time.

    Politics doesn't make sense.

If it did we'd all be well off and the weather near DC would be normal.

    Obama's not black...his mother"s white.
Either way...he's still a very inexperienced liberal who will raise taxes, is against gay marriage, supports partial birth abortion, has poor judgement hanging with friends for over 20 years like terrorists William Ayers and racists Reverand Wright and Father Phleger

Given the state of the US economy and the expense of the Iraq War, do you think that either candidate will be able to cut taxes?

Would not have had the problem in the first place if not for subprime loans that started in ummm 1995? Lets see who was the president then? Just saying everyone wants to blame everyone else, I say get over it and let it crash and burn like it was meant to icon_twisted.gif

Actually it started before then...especially with the savings and loans crisis that began in the 80's...but I get your point...People like to point the finger at one particular person, party, etc...when actually we are dealing with the result of a confluence of issues, policies, etc...

Uh...remember...to make a baby, sperm is also needed. Yes, his mother is white. However...to come up with that beautiful complexion that he has...someone a little bit darker would have to come into the mix. Oh, that's right...his BLACK father. Don't forget that one.

Yes, he's against religious figures being able to decide federal rights. However, he is all for civil unions (the government-based). He couldn't care less if a church wants to discriminate, but the government would be there to give a gay couple the same rights as a straight couple.
