GOP decides to support VAWA after all - as long as it doesn't help gays.

Shorter House Republicans: we will reluctantly agree to a bill to combat violence against women so long as it does nothing to help gays and lesbians.

    h/t LGM

SalonThe House GOP bill entirely leaves out provisions aimed at helping LGBT victims of domestic violence. Specifically, the bill removes “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” from the list of underserved populations who face barriers to accessing victim services, thereby disqualifying LGBT victims from a related grant program. The bill also eliminates “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” from the list of groups who may not be denied funding under VAWA.

Cue GOP apologists! C'mon conservagays - I can't wait to hear how this is all about limited government.

Been debate with some wackos lately...

One acrually said he would vote against his congressman if he came out in support of gay marriage, on the grounds the congressman has more important things to do; but then said nothing about that same congressman spending Millions of dollars, and hundreds of man hours, opposing gay marriage.

I've become convinced the GOP is nothing but a group of hypocrites....not to say I agree with Democrats 100%, but a party that is all over the place like the GOP is definitely off putting.
