How many have you reported and blocked in the past day? 5 here. They want you to click on their link that goes to ManPlay and enter your information.

This is fucking annoying because they have the hottest pics, but they're just cockteases and leave you high and dry and sexually frustrated.

What's the big deal? It's only to verify your age, right? What could possibly go wrong?

Yes, and they always have a picture of a super hot guy who is talking to you about how horny he is after the gym and how he wants to show you his dick...no matter what you say back.

They are really easy to spot

    1) Hot guy
    2) No profile
    3) Block them, and a mirror contacts you

Aren't they in every on-line contact site, ever?

Reminds me of the day (years ago) that I had a "myspace" account. First five minutes: "Wow, I didn't know there were so many teenage girls in town." Second five minutes... counting: The ratio of bots to real people "in" my small town was about 10:1.

It's really no different than phishers and scammers who used other instant messenger services since the dawn of AOL, gay.com, yahoo, etc. The fact that enough people fall for it to make it a worthwhile use of time for the scammers is what amazes me.

actually i'm really curious what the technology behind it is... the grindr server must be sending back some sort of notification when you block someone, since yesterday one of these profiles messaged me back *immediately* each time I blocked it...

they're bots which generate replies based on keywords. i've been "contacted" by 4 of them today. if you type a message which contains the word "scam" in it, they will reply with "scam wtf?!?"

the grindr staff need to get this sorted out as blocking them doesn't work either...nor does blocking real members it would seem
