For starter's, here're mine:

The Guilty Pleasures:

Disturbia - Rihanna
Survivor - Destiny's Child
When I Grow Up - P.cat Dolls

The NOT SO guilty:

Black Betty - Skynrd
Whole Lotta Rosie - AC/DC
Bounce - Timbaland

If I Could Turn Back Time-Cher

That song actually blared out from the loudspeakers as I ran the finishing lap, in the Winnipeg marathon. It put a smile on my face and gave me that final push.

Hey you Cheraholic.

That would be so cute to see you perk up in a marathon by hearing your favorite Diva belt out one of her songs.

Kanye West - Stronger

Channel 7 – the Australian broadcasters of the Beijing Olympics used this song for numerous clips depicting the most triumphant moments of the Olympic Games. At one stage they made a special version of it for Usain Bolt.

My power song would have to be

Rakata by Wislin y Yandel. A bit of reggaeton but I love the song. The drums and beats of that song make it a good song to end a run with.

I'd like to defend myself..I have NO Madonna on my ipod and you can see that AC/DC and Skynard are way up there on my list, as well as Metallica, some good ol Pearl Jam to slow the heart rate and a couple solid classics such as "Eye of the Tiger" and the hits of Queen adorn my much loved Cardio Shmardio Running Playlist.

I understood this to be a "guilty pleasure", not the deffinition of my entire music sound track....the VAST MAJORITY of my song list is RUSH, ZEPPLELIN, AC/DC, SABBATH, OZZY, JUDAS PRIEST....generally CLASSIC ROCK, METAL, PUNK, INDUSTRIAL, ALTERNATIVE and NEW ROCK....you need to mix in some "oddballs" to keep the mix interesting and help change focus when you are hitting it hard and long. Besides "real men" listen to whatever the hell they want to on their Ipod.....showtunes and opera to deathmetal....Besides that if you are listening to anything when you run a Marathon, you are breaking the official sancioned rules of the race and will be disqualified from the race.....and are "just a recreational runner". Boy does this rule SUCK!!!!

"In Your Room" by The Bangles is the best tempo song for a run,

but nothing brings a run home for me like George Michael's "Monkey"

Bang Bang - Kill Bill Soundtrack (I know a little weird, but I like it, more for the beginning of the run to keep me from pushing too hard).

Wow.. You have some real will power if you can stay awake long enough to finish your run while listening to Coldplay!

My power songs, although extremely gay, have a great beat and help me keep a good pace....

Disturbia- Rihanna
Radar- Britney
and even a little Fedde Le Grand- Put your hands up for Detroit (LOL)
