Show off your best tattoo photo or one of any other realjock member!

Try being artistic about it. I'm thinking of getting one but it has to be visible only to those who I choose to show ;)

I have 16 so far and pictures of most on my profile. Favorites are my back ink and the tiger on my right quad.

I've never understood why great looking guys with hot bods want to put graffiti all over themselves, especially when it just looks like random 'stuff'?

The real hotties for me are the guys with no ink. I think they're the ones daring to be different.... icon_wink.gif

Just shows how personal this is. I love some and detest others. I will be getting my first and second soon. Finding friends to support this has been harder than expected.

Nup, just about every guy has the obligatory sleeve or tribal tattoo these days, even the girls. Its so rare to see someone without a tatt...

I recall an episode of the Osbournes when Kelly asked her Dad about getting a tattoo, he asked her why she wanted one and her answer was "to be different". He replied "if you want to be fuckin different, don't get a fuckin tattoo!"

    Hilarious!

I find your bod to be very hot and appealing because there's no ink on it.

I also think there's a bit of an age factor for me too, seeing guys over about the age of 25 with really contemporary tatts just doesn't look right, to me anyhow. Its very rare that they look hot...

But good luck with your decision. I'd be interested to see how they look, and yes, I'll keep my opinion to myself if I don't like em... ;-) lol

I mean to each his own, but tribal or not both my tattoos hold a strang significance one is a tribal Aries(it's only half done more color and detail to look like armor) the other a Phoenix for my eldest brother who passed away. I feel like tattoos tell a story of that person (well some tattoos). It's always interesting to talk with people of why they got a certain thing inked on them. Both of mine took years of thought and decision before I even went to get them. Don't regret them a bit

Why would you need friends to support this? This is a tattoo not a sex change....

Stop over reacting. Not every male has a tribal tattoo. Shut up. You are showing your age grandpa..

Or perhaps your perspective is skewed by confirmation bias? It's entirely plausible that your distaste for tattoos makes you more cognizant of those with tattoos as opposed to those without. The general statistics certainly disagree with your sentiments though...

    In the US:
20% of US adults have tattoos with the most-tattooed demographic being those aged 30-39 at 38%.

    In Oz:
    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22153289
In a sample of Australian men and women aged 16-64, 14.5% of those admit to ever being tattooed.

Given those statistics, I'd hardly call non-tattooed people "rare".

Neither of those should require the support of friends, although for the latter it would be extremely helpful.

    Trashy...

I do not and will not ever follow that line of thinking about tattoos as a whole.

That guy clearly hasn't seen the works of some of the more interesting/talented tattoo artists.

I have a tattoo but I didnt get friends approval to do it. The initial temporary one I wanted was just a random one I thought was cool thats it. But people constantly told me its ok but has no meaning to it. Then I realize I should get one that gives me a meaning when I wake up everyday to see it. Now I recently got a seahorse on my right arm and whenever I explain the meaning of it, people are more interested.

Morale here... if you want a tattoo, get one that has a meaning! Youre inked for life here...
